Throughout life there are moments of uncertainty. There are challenges that become overwhelming and feel impossible to navigate. It is my hope as a counselor to provide a safe environment where you feel comfortable and can openly share without fear of judgement. Based on a foundation of trust, acceptance, and understanding we will work together to uncover difficulties, gain insight, and pursue personal growth. My integrated approach is rooted in the humanistic perspective; using methods from Person Centered and Reality therapy. I also utilize CBT and DBT to incorporate mindfulness strategies to assist with grounding techniques and coping skills.
I believe there is power in taking small steps toward a long direction by setting practical goals. Shifting the focus from past experiences and future worries to be present in the current moment can provide peace. Whether it be anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, relationship issues, grief, or general stress management, we will work together to cultivate positive change. I am passionate about helping adults manage the various obstacles that may impact their quality of life.
I graduated from West Virginia University with a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2015 and am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of WV.
