Anna knows deciding to try therapy can be a deeply personal decision. She wants to hear your story, not just your symptoms. She has advanced training in working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), persistent suicidal thoughts, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depression, anger, anxiety, and teen challenges. Anna provides a space where neurodivergence can thrive without the pressures of neurotypical expectations. She knows how to turn the volume up on your strengths which gives you the momentum you need to build skills for your ideal life. She shines a warm light on depression and confidently navigates the choppy waters of persistent suicidal thoughts. Her calling is to help others feel safe, happy, and content.
Anna uses an integration of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Reality Therapy to help clients untangle themselves from negative/fearful self-talk and make choices that align with their wants and needs. She also teaches emotional regulation skills that are informed by Polyvagal Theory because she knows that regulating the nervous system allows our higher level thinking to “come back online”. When “online”, exploring negative/fearful self-talk, practicing truthful self-talk, role-playing assertive communication, learning social skills with turn-taking games, and much more feel natural in the therapy room. If you don’t know where to begin, that’s okay. Anna knows the right questions to ask to help you begin personalizing your therapy experience.
